Shop jackets here!
Seven years into business, we’ve decided to launch our first product. It’s a jacket–a personal interpretation of the classic workwear jacket–and will be the first partnership of a few where we team up with innovators in the fashion industry to explore possibilities of circularity and local production.
The jacket will be available to buy in very limited qualities on 6 October. Sign up here to get a message when it’s live!
The project started with the material. It’s made with Circulose®, a recycled material from 100% textile waste, and is deadstock from a previous production. In other words, an exclusive resource waiting to be used.
The jacket is made by the team at Fugeetex, a factory in Laxå, Sweden. Fugeetex aims at offering a sustainable solution to three societal challenges: integration, fashion production and textile recycling. It’s a pioneering business model setting example for the future of fashion production.
The jacket comes in black and blue, with handmade buttons from Gotland, Sweden of which you can choose between three colors–blue, pink and green.
”We hold this project close to heart, because it’s a reminder of the beauty and importance of what fashion can be. More than the jacket itself, it’s about changing attitudes, from expecting to choose freely between materials, qualities and colors when we already know the resources are limited, to making the extraordinary from what’s already there,”, says Nora Eslander from Renewcell (the maker of Circulose)
”We had some fabric and created the jacket of our dreams. We wanted it to be timeless, one of those jackets that get better with age. We developed the final touches with our partners at Fugeetex over a few months, taking in their expertise, updating details and modifying it to perfection.”
”Both the fabric and the local production are luxuries in themselves. With Make it last, we’ve always wanted to update the idea of luxury in fashion, and for us, this is definitely it.”

Amason: ”We send files, emails and animals”
With the release of the first single from their upcoming album (and a virtual release party tonight), Swedish band Amason teams up with adidas and the new, more sustainable Stan Smith. The space of which the iconic shoe enters is one where the love of nature takes center stage. Make it last talks to the band about why they always end up with the animals.
