For the promotion of the Beauty and the Beast, actress and environmentalist Emma Watson launched 'The Press Tour' Instagram account, crediting the hand picked, conscious brands she was wearing throughout the tour. We've selected 9 favorites!
Coltrane Works is a Swiss women’s wear brand, founded by Amihan Zemp in 2016, that makes beautiful, clean cut and modern pieces. They work only with certified organic fabrics and yarns from responsible local suppliers, and all items are designed and made locally in Switzerland.

Svilu is a mindfully made woman’s wear label that considers everything from the environmental impact of their materials to the conditions and standards of their factories. The majority of their clothing is made in the Manhattan garment district from responsibly sourced and sustainable materials.

Jewelry designer Ana Khouri is another New York residential who is producing locally and working with ethically sourced fair trade gold from responsible artisanal and small-scale mining organizations. All her gems are blood free and natural and come from certified distributors. A small quantity of her work is also produced in her hometown São Paulo, Brazil.

Uruguayan designer Gabriella Hearst runs her eponymous label from Manhattan, New York. She says she wanted to create a brand that “reflects a slower pace and process: where things are made with care and detail, where tradition is more important than trend, where there is a purpose to every piece”.

Paris based ethical footwear brand Veja use innovative, ecological materials and work closely with the people who produce them. They want to make an economical, ecological and social difference, using advanced technologies, actively promoting eco-farming, campaigning against deforestation and supporting workers’ rights.

Jewelry designer Laura Lombardi is living and working in Brooklyn, New York. She launched her eponymous label in 2010 and makes all her items by hand in New York City using a combination of new and repurposed metals such as vintage and new brass, 14kt gold and sterling silver.

Fonnesbech is a Danish heritage brand fully dedicated to a sustainable business approach. They aspire to incorporate responsibility throughout the entire value chain, and sees sustainability and responsibility as mandatory in all aspects of the design process.

Behno is an ethical, luxury fashion brand designed in New York City and produced in India. They are committed to raising awareness around “made in India” and have among other things partnered with a large Indian nonprofit to create and build a new model of a garment factory in Gujarat, changing the way garment workers are treated, viewed and employed.

Cienne, founded by Nicole Heim, is an ethical and sustainable New York-based fashion brand that connects the traditional and modern, local and international, socially minded and environmentally conscious. They work with low minimum suppliers, which allows them to develop in small batches, keep waste low and fabrics unique.
