Coco Rocha wants Nomad Mgmt to provide new models with the guidance she wish she had been given herself.
On our minds is model/it-girl Coco Rocha and her new venture behind the camera as part of the management of New York-based model agency Nomad Mgmt. Known in the industry for standing up for models’ rights, Rocha’s vision in her new mentoring role is to help the agency’s new faces to develop stable career plans that will allow them to reach their professional goals and protect themselves from being treated unfavourably. Rocha means that she, through her wide experience working for some of the top agencies in the world, is well aware of the shortcomings in the management of models at an early stage in their careers and will be providing personal mentoring and career advice to the models alongside workshops in accounting and finance to help them protect themselves from financial exploitation – all guidance she wish she had been given herself.
