Aerie Real has - for the first time - featured an above-sample size teen model.

On our minds is AerieReal, the campaign from American Eagle’s loungewear sub brand for teens, which for the first time has featured an above-sample size model. The campaign, famed for sporting unretouched young beauties, is now starring nineteen-year-old Barbie Ferreira who also appears in a complementary trailer sharing her thoughts on body image. Ferreira means that not being retouched in the images is something very important to her, and though to date the retailer has tended to use conventionally-sized models, they mean that the purpose of the campaign is to celebrate young women of all shapes and sizes.
