On our minds is Chromat, the brand to deliver the best casting diversity at this season’s fashion month to date. Models of varying sizes and skin tones selected amongst agencies and friends got to showcase the SS16 collection which was made up of snug-fitting and temperature-regulating athleisure pieces “elaborating on the idea that clothing can empower the body and can make you feel strong”. Founder Becca McCharen justified her unconventional model mix stating that “Chromat is all about women who are strong, powerful, and unafraid, so that’s who we cast for the runway show. That doesn’t have a size or gender.” We love to see the body-empowering factor systematically reflected in both the garments and the casting. Read more here
