The largely linen-based collection had a raw elegance to it.
On our minds is the SS16 collection from Osklen, the major Brazilian label run by sustainable luxury pioneer Oskar Metsavaht. Inspired by tribal rituals in the Amazon jungle (which the designer was invited to experience in person – by the tribe), the largely linen-based collection had a raw elegance to it with accessories made from fish skin – sophistically executed to appeal to a Western audience. With Metsavaht’s multidisciplinary involvement in promoting sustainability amongst luxury fashion brands (which in 2011 earned him a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador title), we make sure to follow the journey of this established yet still aspiring brand. On our minds is the SS16 collection from Osklen, the major Brazilian label run by sustainable luxury pioneer Oskar Metsavaht.
