Fashion month is up – and New York seem to have nurtured some interesting alternative shows this season.

Fashion month is almost here again and the major fashion cities’ events kicking off in NYC have nurtured some interesting alternative shows this season. In New York, the Verge Queer Fashion Show will feature eight designers whose work is “systematically rooted in notions of gender non-conformity and its intersections with race, ethnicity and culture.” Though not (yet) included in the official schedule, we love to see an increasingly diverse appreciation of style in conjunction with the shows and as for the brands showcasing at Verge, the look of artisan tailoring brand NotEqual (pictured) especially grabbed our attention.
