Bring on the breeze

These precious pants evokes some of that magic.

It’s a special occasion whenever the Swedish summer lets you get away with wearing crochet. And I’m not referring to those wool shawls that grandmas give on X-mas. I’m talking about the kind of crochet that plays a crucial part in iconic imagery of seventies summer nostalgia.

To me, these precious pants evokes some of that magic. They are what I would call “a time piece” as in something very significant for a certain era. I knew right away, when I found them at Narnia Vintage, that I wasn’t going to let them slip away, although they where not very cheap nor very wearable.

In this picture I wear them with an embroidered blouse from Jewels by Indiska. As some of you might know, Indiska holds a special place in my heart and I’m proud to be an ambassador for the clothing chain that recently was awarded Sustainable Store of the Year.

Wearing all white (outside the safe space of a Kundalini yoga class) isn’t exactly my cup up chai. I prefer to mix it up with som grittier elements such as a good pair of lace up boots and a brown Borsalino hat. The latter, an investment made to be worn during decades to come.

William Bankes: Stunning pic Filippa! I love crochet with it's off-whites and creams - why not wear something that contrasts well - after all, crochet boots aren't in this year! Borsalino: I got a lovely warm brown fedora, complete with wide brim; and yes, it has to last me a lifetime at the price. It is a treat to wear it when I can, and such a change from the normal cream. Keep well :o)
