In response to the hyper-feminine clothing offer for pregnant women, the brand launches a line of androgynous maternity wear – or alternity wear.

Just as we thought the unisex clothing-wave had washed through most categories we learned about Butchbaby & Co., a brand on a quest to provide inclusive clothing for pregnant masculine, trans and queer individuals. In response to the hyper-feminine clothing offer for pregnant women out there, the brand launches a line of androgynous maternity wear – or alternity wear –  enabling expectant individuals to dress and feel like themselves also during pregnancy, regardless of their gender presentation. The brand taglines ’Don’t change just because your body does’, de-stigmatising the idea that pregnant women must suit a singular look, and we love this next move on the journey towards making fashion applicable to all.
