Jeans made out of pastic bottles? You better believe it.

RAW for the Oceans, an initiative created by denim label G-star, are releasing their second collection exclusively made from recycled plastic bottles collected from beaches all over the world. The jeans are the first to ever be produced in this material – Bionic Yarn. This initiative has the aim to clear the oceans from plastic bottles and raise awareness of what damage they can do. Co-designer for this project is musician Pharrell Williams. He says, “I feel a connection to the ocean. It gives so much life, including our own. So I’ll say we are indebted to the sea”.

Denim bomber jackets and jeans are set in focus and a wear and tear feel sets the tone of the collection.
