In light of the Oscars, our minds are set on Suzy Amis Cameron – who dresses celebrities in sustainble fashion.

In light of the Oscars our minds are set on the Red Carpet Green Dress campaign, an initiative conceived by Suzy Amis Cameron, the wife of film director James Cameron, in 2009 with the mission to align emerging fashion designers with environmentally conscious mentors to create sustainable clothing for the Oscars’ red carpet. Though still a very small scale operation, Amis has managed to dress a few celebrities sustainably over the years and the initiative is a leading one in terms of integrating the sustainable standpoint in a major popular culture event. For next year we hope to see Amis stepping up the game with more desirable designs on more opinion leading stars. More here. /Ada Källgren
