On our minds: Faustine Steinmetz receives COTTON USA sponsorship
Make it last favorite Faustine Steinmetz receives a prestigious sponsorship from COTTON USA.
We congratulate our recent interviewee – the distressed denim darling Faustine Steinmetz who has just landed a prestigious sponsorship from COTTON USA to help develop her operations going forward. Renowned for her reconstructed denim pieces that are handmade from scratch, we were happy to see Steinmetz gain further recognition for her ambitious anti-aesthetic craft. Similar to the groundbreaking work of Japanese designers in like Miyake in the 1990s, Steinmetz’ designs are emphasising the garment-making process whilst promoting a sense of redefined anti-consumption through sexed-up, conceptual recycling.
