10 Facial Oils to Keep Your Glow Going Through Winter
If you, like we, live in a freeze box for six months a year, your skin routine could probably do with some serious boosting. While serums, creams and masks will go a long way, what’s ultimately going to save your skin might just be a good face oil.

Plant-based face oils are not only incredibly potent and nourishing – the essential fatty acids aslo work as a protective barrier against weather and wind. Thankfully, Mother Nature has given us some seriously yummy ingredients that do wonders on dehydrated and stressed out winter complexions, and many makers of botanical facial oils seem to agree that oil from jojoba, rosehip seed and prickly pear are some of the yummiest.
Most facial oils can be used on their own, as moisturizing treatments, or added as an extra layer underneath a cream in your morning or end-of-day skin care routine. Simply massage a few drops onto clean skin using upward circular motions (to stimulate blood circulation and the lymphatic system), working your way over face, neck and, perhaps – decolletage. The result: a nourished and radiant complexion, from October all the way to Mars and beyond.
We’ve picked out a few all-natural and organic face oils that might just do the trick. But remember: everybody’s skin is different, so be prepared to do a little research and testing to find the perfect one for you.
