This weekend, the first drop from the new rug brand Cappelen Dimyr will be released, offering a line of unique and hand crafted rugs.
The first edition will be a launch of five styles that will drop in three different chapters, representing the signature world of Cappelen Dimyr where eclectic, soft, bohemian and contemporary mixes into a modern selection of rugs. Soft neutrals of beiges and whites are at the core of the collection, whereas abstract patterns in hues of burnt red, rusty brown, deep purple and soft emerald green add a contrasting element.
All rugs are made by hand, using traditional techniques of the artisans in India and only the finest natural un-bleached 100% New Zeeland wool.
The brand will mainly be direct to consumer through the e-commerce platform. The rugs come in different sizes and will in special occasions be made to measure as well. The price range in the first drop are between €800-€2500.
Behind the brand is a creative collective based in Copenhagen and Stockholm; designer Maja Dixdotter, interior architect Jacob Holst, entrepreneur Kristoffer Hernemyr and brand and communication specialist Ellen Dixdotter.
