Högsta bud —

In this somewhat enlightened age, most have made the connection: what you put on your skin will enter your body, just the same way anything you put in your mouth does. This is why your choice of skin care matters. New beauty brand Under Your Skin is here to remind us.

Launching only last week, new Swedish beauty brand Under Your Skin offers a small range of organic skin and hair care products – shampoo and conditioner, body wash and lotion, hand wash and hand cream – made entirely without any harmful chemicals, toxins or hormone disturbing substances. They call it ‘Revolution in a Bottle’, and if you were wondering about the actual bottles, they are recyclable and made from a sugar cane-based bioplastic (we consider this an important fact).
So, what’s inside? This first drop is made with pure, nourishing ingredients like technologically extracted stam sells from the milk thistle plant – which has been used for its healing properties for thousands of years – together with the vitamin rich Japanese yuzu. The result is said to be an exclusive and effective extract with tons of antioxidants (commonly known to be super-anti-aging and generally awesome in food as well as skin care). This does sound promising.
Founding mother-daughter-duo Louise Hahn and Christina Hahn not only wish to offer natural and organic products that are kind to people and environment, but hope to at the same time raise awareness about issues revolving hormone disturbing toxins. Having struggled with hormone imbalance herself a few years back, Louise got control of the situation only when she checked herself into an Ayurvedic retreat, switching to a toxic-free food and beauty routine – this while ignoring the doctor’s advice to go on estrogen pills (standard…). Failing to find skincare that fit her new needs and lifestyle, she decided to create them herself together with her mother, calling the result ‘a revolution’. We’re definitely excited to try it out.
