Best of the New H&M Conscious Exclusive Collection
This season, I’ve had the great pleasure of working a bit closer with the H&M Conscious Exclusive launch. The collection is filled with garments for special occasions, but also pieces that you can easily mix into your everyday wardrobe. The inspiration mainly comes from the craft(wo)manship of Karin Larsson and her husband, artist Carl Larsson. The home where they lived, and that Karin decorated, was the subject of Carl’s famous paintings, and I think it’s great that she as an artist has been acknowledged in this collection, as it’s inspired by her patterns and color selection.
As for previous collections, the H&M designers have been working with recycled and organic materials for both garments and accessories. The wedding dress, for example, is made from old ghost nets that’s been made into a fibre called Econyl, the shoes are made from recycled polyester and all other fabrics are organically produced. The accessories are made from recycled silver shaped like tulips.
The pieces I’m wearing are some of my favorites from the collection, which will launch in selected stores and at H&M.se on April 19th.
