Ever since Aesop, the exclusive "statement soap" has become a must in every stylish bathroom. Apothecary-looking bottles in combination with a natural and organic ingredient list are the essential components of a modern (and desirable) hand wash. Truly, they're costly, but we're totally buying into it.
Here are 9 favorites!

1. Apothecary Hand Wash, Frama, 500ml.

At the top of our list is this new favorite from Danish interior brand Frama that comes in an Italian glass bottle and looks simply perfect combined with the matching hand lotion. It’s a mild hand wash produced with 100% natural ingredients that has a fresh scent of sandalwood, cedarwood and ylang ylang. Apothecary is made locally in Denmark.

2. Seaweed and Fennel Hand Cleanser, Haeckels/Reve en Vert, 250 ml.

A low-foaming cleansing gel containing 100% naturally sourced anti-bacterial botanicals and local seaweed extract. The naturally cleansing plant extracts remove impurities from the hands, killing bacteria and harmful germs whilst remaining gentle on the skin. The seaweed extract contains vitamin B and sodium, which act to repair damaged skin cells and rehydrate dry skin.

3. Palmarosa and Vetiver Hand Soap, Austin Austin/LN-CC, 300ml.

This hand soap is organic certified and vegan, and comes in a 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottle. It’s made with extracts of plants, grasses, seaweed and algae to moisturize and protect, and aloe vera to soothe the skin. It has no GM ingredients, SLS, silicones, parabens, mineral oils, artificial colors or fragrances.

4. Hand Wash, Grown Alchemist, 500 ml.

A rich, aromatic gel hand wash with sandalwood, ylang ylang, natrium-PCA made with nourishing ingredients that cleanses, softens and soothes the skin. Some scientific facts for the nerd: The natural plant derived natrium PCA provides maximum hydration binding moisture, while protecting the skin’s acid mantle, leaving skin looking calm and soothed. Favanol antioxidants from sandalwood remove toxins, soothe, hydrate and fight free radicals that cause wrinkles.

5. Savon Suisse Hand Soap, Astier de Villatte/Biutiful Shop, 200 ml.

The Savon Suisse organic hand soap is a transparent gel that offers a rich and creamy foam that is easy to rinse off and leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. It’s based on nourishing coconut and sunflower oils, and also include lime tree and chamomile that have softening, calming and anti-redness properties.

6. Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser, Aesop/Artilleriet, 500 ml.

This contemporary classic is a gentle gel cleanser with oils of mandarin and bergamot rind that  deeply cleanse and refresh the skin. Aesop works with carefully sourced ingredients and has (in their words) a sincere interest in intelligent and sustainable design. We love to use this one for both hands and body.

7. Citrus Aromatic Body Wash, Evolve/Content Beauty, 250 ml.

A deeply hydrating vegan hand and body wash with natural coconut and sugar extracts that gently cleanse and maintain the skin’s natural pH balance. It has 98% natural and 72% organic ingredients and contains organic aloe vera that nourishes the skin and calms irritation.

8. Enriched Hand Wash, Nouri/Content Beauty, 300 ml.

This hand wash is freshly blended in small batches every 12 weeks to ensure 100% efficacy and keep the active ingredients active. 97,9% of ingredients are of natural origin and 2.1% are nature-identical. It’s free from parabens, synthetic color, synthetic fragrances, mineral oil, petrolatum, PEGs, sulfates, MEA, DEA, TEA, polypropylene glycol, phthalates, and silicones.

9. Cloudberry Hand Soap, Care of Gerd/Naturligt Snygg, 500 ml.

An organic cream soap in a generous pump bottle with a scent of pomegranate, rose oil and mandarin. It’s made with C vitamin rich cloudberry seed oil and avocado oil for a gentle and nourishing wash.
