I’m not sure why, but the last two weeks I’ve had this huge, almost nesting-like, need to get our home in order. I spend hours on different second hand and auctions sites to find the perfect ceramic piece for our empty bookshelf. I find myself wanting a paperweight even though I know that I certainly don’t need one. Instead of sleeping at night I’m doing a list in my head of to-dos—like making the laundry room look like a showroom (will never happen). I don’t know if it’s the winter cold outside, or if I’m just in great need of a hobby, but I think the homemaker in me needs to chill.
