Three Things On My Mind

1. Inspired by the Nordic lifestyle, Myk+ set out to create non-toxic and eco-friendly cleaning products that are good for people and the environment. To them, this means a healthy, uncomplicated approach towards home living.

2. My friend Patricia opened my eyes to the amazing Minnie Ripperton. I had heard her hit song Lovin you, but not much else. The song Patricia played me that I really liked was Les Fleurs. She’s called the queen of the whistle register; just listen to Here we go, and you’ll understand why.
After that, I did some research and found that Minnie was one of the first celebrities to go public with her breast cancer diagnosis, but didn’t disclose she was terminally ill. In 1977, she became a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society. In 1978, she received the American Cancer Society’s Courage Award. She is also the mother of brilliant actress and comic Maya Rudolph.

3. We just got a new, wooden, made-to-order table for the office. Next week you’ll find a big article here on Make it last, telling you all about how the table was made.
