Time Is Making Fools of Us Again

Where does one find the time and energy to get everything done? The feeling of always having a long, long list of to-dos is really starting to get to me. We’re never done, are we? So how do you turn that feeling of not being enough into something good?
Laundry, cleaning up, painting the upstairs hallway and fold stuff that’s lying around; when I write some of the things down it doesn’t look too bad. But when I come home from work at 6 pm, the last thing I want is to sort out laundry, paint a wall or clean the toilette. Do any of you have a trick up your sleeve for how to make this life puzzle work?

Tio minuter. Man hinner mer än man tror. Och är ni två som gör grejer kommer ni hinna hur mycket som helst under den tiden. Sen är resten av kvällen fri :)

Lena: I keep telling myself I will have all the rest of my life for a clean, nice apartment.. but just not now!. Kids are a beautiful storm, tape the windows and enjoy the ride. Oh, and get you three big boxes (eg from Ikea) and just throw the clean laundry in it instead of folding it: one box for your stuff, one for your husband, one for the kid. Ah yeah. And burn the list. You are human, not Excel.

Ninna Kiel Nielsen: I agree with Emma Isabel. All the tasks are something you think, that you 'have to do'. They are selfinflicted duties. They won't go away, they will wait for you, so let them - at least until you think, that they are fun to do. And your son and husband probably don't care. So do the laundry, and feel good about that you have clean clothes for you all tomorrow.

Karin: Jobba deltid. Och prioritera. Det kanske kan få vara stökigt och orenoverat under några år.. :)

Emma Isabel: Get rid of that list. It's not for reminding you. You know you won't forget. It's just to keep you feeling occupied and worthless. You won't get to it faster either so just throw it away and let your mindset set the agenda. Try it.
