Biolage #LiveRaw 7 Day Challenge: The Editors’ Diary – Day 7
The last day of Lisa and Emma's Biolage #LiveRaw 7 Day Challenge is all about cleaning out old products.
It’s the last day of our editors’ Biolage #LiveRaw 7 Day Challenge! The theme is Recycle and Upcycle – Clean Out Old Hair Products and Save the Environment. Here’s what Emma and Lisa’s day looked like.
“I actually took the opportunity of cleaning out beauty products that I don’t use this weekend for our fashion flea market. My plan was to offer them to our customers as giveaways… But then, as we closed for the day and started cleaning the space, I found the products forgotten in a bag. So I’ll bring them to the office instead.
I had quite a lot of unused products at home, as I’m a hoarder but also someone who doesn’t use a lot of beauty products. I’m also quite reluctant to change products once I’ve found things that I like, at least when it comes to skin care products. As for hair products, I’m much more flexible. It might have to do with the fact that my hair needs change over time. Sometimes, my hair is oily, sometimes it’s dry. I’ve learnt that switching hair products quite often is not such a bad idea!”
So I did not save the environment today. But I managed to empty out house of all it’s old plastic bottles and bring them to a recycling station. Since we moved to a bigger home recycling is not a anxiety filled for me as if was while we we’re living in the city. Here I have a WHOLE room downstairs to fill with organized recycling bins. The dream thought would be to not have anything to recycle, that all food and beauty products would come in packaging that would work as refill or biodegradable. I hope that day is not to far away and untill then I will get my inspiration of a waste free life for Trash is for tossers.
