Stockholm’s Newest Pre-Owned Fashion Consigment Store Pearl will Greet You at Sunday’s Make it last Flea Market
It's been about six weeks since Scandinavian designer fashion retailer Aplace opened its first pre-owned fashion consignment store in Stockholm. This weekend Pearl will make a guest appearance at the Make it last flea market. We asked co-founder Kalle Tollmar to tell us about what to expect.
It’s been about six weeks since you opened Pearl. Tell us about the opening!
– It was really nice, as always it’s a struggle with time to get everything in order. Phew! The shelves from Betonggruvan took some time to assembly (due to a tricky wall..) and we are still missing a gigantic Pearl that will take place in our window!
What have the first couple of weeks been like, and what are the reactions so far?
– It’s a success. It really is! We both sell and receive nice things and people are so positive to the concept. We really feel that Stockholm has been missing this kind of second hand store. People also seem to enjoy our software where you as a consignor get a email each time we sell one of their items. This way, the consignors knows what to expect when they come around for their cash back.
You will take part in Make it last’s flea market on Sunday, what will be your contribution? And why should people come and see you?
– We will showcase a really nice selection from the store and also treat people with something nice… We’re really looking forward to this!
