The other day I spent an hour talking about natural beauty with Styleby’s beauty editor Anja for the Styleby beauty podcast (it’s in Swedish though). Talking about beauty made me realize how much my beauty routines have changed over the years.
When I was a teen, I would spend hours in front of the mirror, trying on different eyeshadows and fake eye lashes. Before going out dancing in my early twenties, I would start preparing two hours before leaving the house.
Looking back, I wish I would have done something more sensible with that time, but back then I thought it was so relaxing taking my time in front of the mirror with a mountain of make up beside me.
Like I said, today, my routines are VERY different. At this point in life, I’m very happy to even find the time to brush my hair or apply some kind of lotion to my dry skin. That said, I feel just as pretty now as I did back when I was wearing all that make up; or even more so, ’cause nowadays I feel a lot more comfortable in my own skin.
At this point in life, I only see upsides with getting older, but I’ll probably read this ten years from now and totally disagree. However, spending less time in front of the mirror has done me well in more then one way.
On that note, I thought I’d introduce the few products I still use; all sustainable, of course.
Lotion, Nature’s gate. Make up remover, Bio beautè by Nuxe. Foot cream, Burt’s bees. Face oil, RMS beauty. Tinted moisturizer, Estelle & Thild.
