Day two of Make it last founders Lisa and Emma's Biolage #LiveRaw 7 Day Challenge is all about saving water.

The focus of day two of the Biolage #LiveRaw 7 Day Challenge? Save water – skip the shampoo! Here’s what our editors’ days looked like.

Emma Elwin

“This weekend I washed my hair with my Biolage R.A.W. shampoo and left a hair mask in for 5 minutes. To save water, I always turn the shower off while I put products in my hair. I try to wash my hair three hours before going to bed so that it’s still a bit damp; this way I get some natural curls. This morning I used some R.A.W. hair oil to give some extra shine to my dry ends—but the plan is to not wash it again until next weekend, saving both my hair and some water!”

Lisa Corneliusson

“Today’s challenge—saving water by skipping shampoo—kind of makes me laugh a little. I tend to skip the shampoo pretty often, perhaps too often… I really don’t like washing my hair. I think the actual washing is boring and I don’t like my hair when it’s newly washed. So I wait for as long as I can, which is usually a little more than a week. When it comes to saving water in the shower my best tip, except of course turning off the water while shampooing your hair or whatever it is that you do, is to not shower daily. Do not shower every second day if you don’t need it. If you’re a teenager who spends your days in the stable with horses or doing massive workouts, you do need it. But if you don’t, chill with the showering. For the sake of the water as well as your skin. And also, don’t wash your clothes after one use, if they don’t really need it. I can go on about this….”
