We are all waking up to a nightmare. How could this happen?

We are all waking up to a nightmare. How could this happen? What will happen to the world? What world will our children grow up in? I feel devastated. The result of the American election has left me feeling emotional and despairing.

Despite this, I feel even more determined that we need to come together. Love instead of hate. Hope instead of fear. And help each other. We all need to care more and do more. We need to respect each other. Today I am going to try and stop feeling so fucking scared of what the future might hold. I will pour my hope into the future generation, and pray that they will learn from our mistakes. I will raise Dylan knowing that all people are worth the same, all genders and races deserve the same respect and that kindness is NOT a weakness. Compassion the only thing that can heal the world. Let’s all ask ourselves today, what can we do to make this world a better place?
