The de-gendered style sentiment has spread to childrenswear and on our minds is Suit Her, a brand formed by the mother of 10-year old tomboy Gabriela who has a flair for all things formal menswear. Frustrated by the lack of masculine (or even gender-neutral) clothing available to her daughter, she founded the brand aimed at girls aged five to twelve who don’t identify with the girly norm but have embraced a more masculine way of dressing. Still in Kickstarter phase, the brand is looking to launch three ranges, one for casualwear, one semi-formal and one for formalwear, all with a fit appropriated to a girl’s body. Read more here.
