On our minds is the recent online campaign calling on the fashion industry to remove the plus-label from models above sample size, hashtagged #DROPTHEPLUS. Triggered by an Instagram shout out from above-size-4 model Stefania Ferrario, fellow models and the wider audience were quick to chime in on their disagreement with the label. Equality is no doubt climbing higher on the fashion agenda and we love the increasing amount of models of varying looks and shapes appearing in prestigious publications and campaigns. Beauty is individual and we feel that considering a larger scope of the infinite types of beauty adds to the relevance and aesthetic value of fashion imagery. Here’s to hoping that the fashion creatives of tomorrow feel the same. More here
