The mixed feeling of adrenalin, fear and happiness – I fell completely in love

Erika Vallin does a lot of things: she’s a an author, a copywriter for H&M and a former writer for magazines such as Swedish Elle. Her fantasy trilogy, The Secret Mirrors (“Speglarnas hemlighet”) is popular in stores this year – a great Christmas gift to anyone with big imagination. Make it last asks her about a highly valued piece of hers – an eternal flame.

erika2 kopiera”Last spring I started up a new book project, totally different from anything I’ve written before. I knew that I had to get out of my comfort zone to get it done, or even to get started. I was feeling kind of stuck and to get me going, my husband took me to the skate park. The mixed feeling of adrenalin, fear and happiness – I fell completely in love. So, when I spotted this floral deck from Dries van Noten on Ebay I couldn’t really resist. It’s a general reminder that I’m always happiest when in motion and in the, sometimes scary, process of learning something new.”

What would be your general advice to everyone envying this thing of yours?
