I spent two hours in that shop trying out at least 100 pair of jeans

The truly inspirational fashion blogger and DJ, Chrystelle Eriksberger, lives in Stockholm with her husband and son. Her dressing is casual – classic with a luxury feel – and is easy to apply to ones own style. Make it last asks her about her Eternal Flame, which she found during her honeymoon in Thailand.drjohn.chrystelle2 kopiera

”I’m a real jeans girl and have always been. I think it’s the only garment that’s been consistent throughout all my different styles during the years. But I’ve always been on the hunt for the perfect pair. Actually I didn’t really know what I was looking for but I just knew that I would know it and feel it when I found them. So for our honeymoon four years ago we went to Thailand and landed in Bangkok. And I had read on the internet that if you’re looking for vintage jeans, Bangkok would be a paradise. We found this store that sold vintage jeans. The walls where covered from the floor all the way up to the ceiling with vintage jeans and they where all different from one another, categorized by size. I think I spent two hours in that shop trying out at least 100 pair of jeans before I found ”Mr right”. I was in the fitting room while the shop owner where throwing different styles at me to try on. He was as determined as I was and I think that was what kept me going. I was just about to give up when I got these vintage jeans from the asian jeans brand Dr. John. I tried them on and they fitted like a glove. It was truly love at first sight and we are still going strong. They are special to me, both because of the story behind them but also because of all the memories from that beautiful honeymoon in Thailand. There also special because if I have a bad wardrobe day I can always put them on with a simple T-shirt and feel beautiful.”

What would be your general advice to everyone envying this thing of yours?

– Keep looking for the perfect pair and never give up. Look for something that isn’t just a thing but also something that brings back happy thoughts and memories. So when you wear it, that happiness and confidence will shine through.
