From there it spiraled downward, or upward?
Since 2008, Viola Holmgren has been a top beauty blogger in Sweden. We love the fact that she focuses on cruelty free beauty and frequently gives us advice on products that, frankly, are better than the rest – products that have gone under the radar. At Make it last, she shares an Eternal Flame of hers.
”I’ve been wearing my pitch black skinny jeans for as long as I’ve worn a bra, or even longer. They have been my best everyday friend for as long as I’ve cared about clothes. I remember walking into a store in tiny Umeå where I grew up with one main goal – finally getting those new, exciting Cheap Monday jeans. This was back in 2004. From there it spiraled downward, or upward? I’ve probably tried everything on the Swedish market by now, and my recent find is the Tiger of Sweden Slender jeans in the wash Shelter. A coated black jeans with super stretch and low waist. Sooo comfortable and they look amazing in a semi-sheen. YUM! I’m the person who buys one or two pairs of jeans and use them to death, then get new ones. They are best right before they fall to pieces! I don’t vary my pants a lot at all so I want something ultra versatile, price is secondary.”
What would be your general advice to everyone envying this thing of yours?
– Don’t bother with semi-stretchy jeans, especially if you want a higher waist. They will just end up in the closet as the “nice but uncomfortable pair” and you’ll go out wearing something else instead. Ask for help at a good jeans store, they will be ten times better at it than you would be alone. I promise! I have tried and failed.
