We wish we were in Rotterdam

We wish we were in Rotterdam to see The Future of Fashion is Now, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen’s latest showcase highlighting some of the most innovative fashion designers of now and their work exploring sustainability, futuristic technologies and the social value of clothes in response to the current fashion system. The exhibition features work by more than fifty international designers, from renowned fashion houses to young up-and-coming talent, including the likes of Viktor & Rolf (with a Zen garden and pleas to move more slowly with greater spirituality); Wang Lei (showcasing traditional Chinese costumes from woven toilet tissue) and Carole Collet (exploring sustainable materials in experiments with lace patterns that grow from strawberry plants).

The Future of Fashion is Now will be on show from 11 October 2014 to 18 January 2015.
